Establishment of Foreign Investment

NPG has acquired significant experience over the last few years with the entry and establishment of foreign investment in Peru. The growth in the economy, to a large extent due to increased construction activity, has resulted in Peru becoming one of the leading Latin American countries for doing business and contracting both with companies in the private sector and with the government.

Accordingly, we have been able to capture significant investments by offering an analysis of the organizational structure most suitable for initiating business activity in Peru, taking into account the target market (private or public sector) and the prevailing regulations which apply. A large proportion of our legal services focus on the following activities:

  • Incorporation of companies or the establishment of branches and registration for tax purposes and Public Records.
  • Registration, renewal and extension of the capacity to contract with businesses in the National Registry of Suppliers (RMP), held by the Supervisory Agency for State Procurement (OSCE). This is an obligatory requirement for contracting with the government for the provision of services, goods or works.
  • Advice and arrangements for changes in immigration status and the obtaining of work visas for expatriate personnel. ’Family Calls’ and arranging for various travel permits and nationalization for the staff of companies starting up business activity in Peru.
  • Identification, in both the public and private sectors, of business opportunities for foreign companies in the construction industry.
